Description

We are looking for a professional and organised School Receptionist / Administrator for a busy and welcoming primary school in Sparkbrook. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong front-office skills and experience using Arbor or other school management systems.

You will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, ensuring the school office runs smoothly and professionally. The successful candidate will handle a variety of administrative duties, support daily operations, and contribute to a warm and efficient front-of-house environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming visitors and managing the school reception area
  • Answering phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Using Arbor (or another school MIS) to update attendance, records, and pupil data
  • Have experience using Parent Pay
  • Supporting staff with admin tasks, printing, and filing
  • Handling late arrivals, signing pupils in/out, and safeguarding procedures
  • Managing inboxes, correspondence, and daily office tasks
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Experience working in a school office (preferred)
  • Confident using Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom, or other school systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, warm, and reliable approach
