School Cleaner – East Birmingham

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a welcoming school in East Birmingham on a long-term basis starting 3rd November. This role is vital in ensuring that the school environment remains clean, safe, and hygienic for both pupils and staff.
As part of the cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining classrooms, corridors, communal areas, and children’s facilities to a high standard. You will take pride in creating a safe and pleasant learning environment for all.

Hours:
6 to 8am or 3 to 5pm

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning classrooms, including wiping down desks, chairs, and surfaces.
• Maintaining children’s toilets and washrooms to the highest hygiene standards.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in classrooms and corridors.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of safely.
• Cleaning staff areas, communal spaces, and entrances.
• Reporting any health and safety concerns or maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability and strong work ethic.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children.
