Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the B75 area for a Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026 until the end of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and adaptable individual who enjoys working across a variety of year groups. You will be covering classes from EYFS through to Year 6, ensuring pupils remain engaged and continue learning in the absence of the class teacher.

This role is ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience across different age groups before securing a permanent teaching position.

About the Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS to Year 6.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
  • Support pupils with their learning and encourage active participation.
  • Adapt confidently to different classes, subjects, and year groups.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT), although experienced Cover Supervisors will also be considered.
  • Has experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Is confident teaching across all primary age groups, from EYFS to Year 6.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is flexible, enthusiastic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
