Description
Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding primary school in North Birmingham for a strong and dedicated Deputy Head Teacher.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to join a high-performing school in a non-teaching Deputy Head role, focusing fully on leadership, school improvement, and staff development. The school has a strong religious ethos and is looking for someone who will positively contribute to the values and wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school
- Lead on whole-school improvement priorities and contribute to the school development plan
- Oversee teaching and learning standards across the school
- Lead and support staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Monitor pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour across the school
- Ensure safeguarding, behaviour, and pastoral systems are robust and effective
- Promote and uphold the school’s values, ethos, and positive culture
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors, and the wider community
The Ideal Candidate
Supply Heroes are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has significant experience within a primary school setting
- Has previous leadership experience (e.g., Assistant Head, Phase Leader, or equivalent)
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Has experience driving school improvement and raising standards
- Is committed to contributing to the school’s religious ethos and values
- Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and school leadership responsibilities
