Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for a lovely primary school in Alum Rock. This role requires someone who is Early Years Approved and listed on the DfE Early Years Qualifications list.

You will be supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality provision that supports children’s development across all EYFS areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting learning, play, and development in Nursery/Reception
  • Assisting with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
  • Observing and recording children’s progress in line with EYFS frameworks
  • Promoting communication, social skills, and independence
  • Providing personal care support when required
  • Maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must hold an Early Years Approved qualification on the DfE list
  • Experience working within EYFS settings
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong understanding of child development and EYFS curriculum
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
  • Reliable, committed, and passionate about early years education
