Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Alum Rock for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full teaching role within the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing an exciting opportunity to help shape children's first experiences of education. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, planning engaging activities in line with the EYFS Framework, and supporting pupils to achieve key developmental milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering creative and engaging EYFS lessons and activities.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Supporting children's social, emotional and educational development.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress against EYFS outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate records and observations.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents.
- Promoting positive behaviour and strong learning habits.
- Attending staff meetings, training and parents' evenings.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring teacher who is passionate about Early Years education.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within EYFS.
- Possess a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Be creative, nurturing and committed to delivering engaging learning experiences.
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and assessment skills.
- Be committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
