Are you a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity?
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking an enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join their successful Science department from September 2026.

The Role
As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Biology lessons
- Inspiring students to develop a passion for Science and the natural world
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement
- Supporting students of all abilities to reach their full potential
- Contributing to curriculum development within the Science department
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to raise attainment and outcomes
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching Biology within a secondary school setting
- Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour
- Be committed to delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Be a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative team member
Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
