The Role

As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Biology lessons
• Inspiring students to develop a passion for Science and the natural world
• Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement
• Supporting students of all abilities to reach their full potential
• Contributing to curriculum development within the Science department
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to raise attainment and outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have experience teaching Biology within a secondary school setting
• Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour
• Be committed to delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Be a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative team member

Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
