Year 1 Cover Supervisor – Ladywood, Birmingham

Supply Heroes are looking for a full-time cover supervisor in Year 1 to join a vibrant and friendly primary school in Ladywood, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and have a knack for making learning fun and engaging. This position is available to start as soon as possible and will run for the remainder of the academic year.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in teaching KS1- Year 1
• Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
• Creative and innovative in their teaching methods
• Able to build positive relationships with students
• Flexible and adaptable to the pupils needs
• Supervise whole-class learning in Year 1 during teacher absence
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising Year 1 pupils during teacher absence, ensuring a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment
• Identifying students who may need additional support and connecting them with the resources they need
• Working effectively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
• Assisting with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and general administrative tasks
