Year 1 Class Teacher – Longbridge, Birmingham

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Longbridge, Birmingham.

This is a full-time position, starting from Easter until the end of the academic year, with full class teaching responsibilities.

The Role:

• Take full responsibility for a Year 1 class
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and support pupil development
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment
• Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to support, challenge, and engage all learners
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
