Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the B46 area for an enthusiastic and committed Year 5/6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to work within Upper Key Stage 2, preparing pupils for the transition into secondary education while delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, strong progress and pupil confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Preparing pupils for SATs and secondary school transition
  • Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress effectively
  • Creating a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong knowledge of the Upper KS2 curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teacher
  • Have confidence teaching Year 5 and/or Year 6
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
  • Create engaging and inclusive learning experiences
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to school life
