Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive primary school in the Aston area for an SEN Resource Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2026 until the end of the academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach within the school's specialist resource base, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and structured learning environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

About the Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Teach and support pupils within the school's specialist resource provision.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
  • Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to EHCP reviews where appropriate.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a resource base or specialist setting.
  • Has a strong understanding of adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs, including Autism, Speech and Language needs, and other additional learning needs.
  • Is patient, compassionate, and committed to delivering inclusive education.
  • Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and builds positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Is passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of children with additional needs.
