Supply Heroes are proud to be recruiting on behalf of school in the Aston, Birmingham area for a dedicated and experienced High Needs SEND Teacher to join their specialist provision.

This is a job-share role, working Thursday and Friday, supporting a high needs SEND class that operates similarly to a resource base. The class supports pupils with complex learning needs and requires a teacher who is confident, nurturing, and highly skilled in adapting provision to meet individual EHCP outcomes.

The Role:

  • Teaching a high needs SEND class (resource base style provision)
  • Working collaboratively with the existing class teacher (Mon–Wed) to ensure continuity of learning
  • Planning, delivering and assessing personalised learning
  • Leading and working alongside support staff
  • Creating a safe, structured and engaging environment
  • Supporting pupils with complex needs, which may include ASD, communication needs, and associated behaviours

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have strong experience within SEND, ideally high needs or specialist settings
  • Be confident with EHCP targets, differentiation and personalised learning pathways
  • Have excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Be committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
