Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our educational team for a school in Harborne. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with diverse needs, and fostering a positive learning environment. Experience with special education, working with children with disabilities, and through all years. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives through effective teaching and personalised support.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons tailored to individual student needs, including those with special educational requirements
  • Support students with disabilities by adapting teaching methods and providing necessary assistance
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence among pupils
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to monitor student progress and develop personalised learning plans
  • Conduct tutoring sessions to reinforce learning objectives and address specific academic challenges
  • Care for toddlers by engaging them in educational activities that promote development and social skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and progress reports
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during school hours

Skills

  • Proven experience in teaching, particularly within special education or working with children with disabilities
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Experience in tutoring across various subjects or age groups is advantageous
  • Compassionate approach towards children’s development, especially in toddler care settings
  • Organised, patient, and able to manage classroom dynamics effectively
