Description
Supply Heroes are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a supportive and energetic primary school in Birmingham with a fantastic reputation. They are looking for a passionate Year 1 Teaching Assistant to work across the classroom with a pro-active, enthusiastic and engaging approach. The ideal candidate will have KS1 experience and have a depth of knowledge with phonics, especially Little Wandle.
The role will be classroom based, however; you may run targeted interventions supporting students in a small group basis as well as 1:1 with specific subjects such as literacy and numeracy. You may lead sessions in writing and spelling and assist the teacher in planning/carrying out activities for the pupils and also help in preparation and organisation or the classroom resources.
This role is Part – Time, 2 days a week (Monday and Tuesday)
Start: ASAP
Duration: Full-Academic Year
The school are looking for:
- Somebody with a passion of working with children
- Level 2/3 qualification for a Teaching Assistant
- Experience of working in a primary school
- Have the ability to engage with children and help build positive relationships
- Be able to manage any challenging behaviour in a consistent manner
- Someone with experience working in KS1
- Someone that has has good curriculum KS1 knowledge
- Little Wandle
