Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and welcoming primary school in Erdington for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026 until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children at the very start of their educational journey, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically within a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

About the Role

  • Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom.
  • Deliver engaging learning activities through play and adult-led interventions.
  • Assist with the development of children's communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to monitor children's progress and wellbeing.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a DfE-approved, full and relevant EYFS qualification that meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) staff qualification requirements.
  • Has experience working within an EYFS setting.
  • Has a good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Is caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young children's learning.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and communicate confidently with colleagues and families.
  • Is committed to providing high-quality early years education.
