Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a wonderful primary school in the B75 area for a dedicated and compassionate Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is a full-time role starting in September 2026 and continuing until the end of the academic year in July 2027, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver effective interventions and create a positive learning environment.

The role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
  • Working alongside the class teacher to adapt activities and learning tasks
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with additional needs (school-based experience desirable)
  • Is patient, compassionate, and proactive
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Is committed to helping every child achieve their potential
