Description
Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Aston for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to work within their Resource Base. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils within the Resource Base. You will work closely with support staff, SENCOs, external agencies, and families to provide high-quality provision that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering personalised learning programmes.
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress.
- Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.
- Contributing to EHCP reviews and target setting.
- Building positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional and communication development.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
- Be patient, compassionate and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Have experience working with pupils with Autism, Speech and Language Needs, or other complex learning needs (desirable).
- Be committed to promoting the wellbeing and achievement of every child.
