Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Alum Rock for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their teaching career within a nurturing school environment that is committed to staff development and pupil success. The successful candidate will take on full class teacher responsibilities and will be supported by experienced colleagues and school leaders throughout their induction period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Attending staff meetings, training sessions and parents' evenings.
  • Supporting the academic, social and emotional development of pupils.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and passionate teacher who is eager to begin their career in education.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin or continue their teaching career within a supportive school environment.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Be reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Bring enthusiasm, creativity and energy to the classroom.
