Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Alum Rock for a dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full class teaching role within Key Stage 2, taking responsibility for a Year 3 class and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupils as they transition into lower KS2. The successful candidate will be focused on building strong foundations in core subjects while fostering confidence, independence and a love of learning.

You will be joining a supportive school with a strong leadership team and collaborative staff culture, where staff are encouraged to develop professionally and share best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Year 3 lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils’ progress across reading, writing and mathematics.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assessing, tracking and recording pupil progress.
  • Differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities and needs.
  • Preparing and delivering effective lessons that build KS2 foundations.
  • Working closely with support staff, colleagues and parents.
  • Attending staff meetings, training sessions and parents’ evenings.
  • Contributing to the wider school community and ethos.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about KS2 education and pupil development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within primary education (KS2 experience desirable).
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Be confident in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
  • Be organised, reflective and creative in their teaching approach.
  • Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Be committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
