Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Winson Green for a dedicated SEND Teacher to work within their Resource Base from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will work with a small group of pupils, delivering tailored learning experiences that meet their individual needs and help them achieve their full potential.

The Resource Base provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, and the successful candidate will work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, families and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs.
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Developing and implementing personalised learning strategies and interventions.
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO and external agencies.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and target setting.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled teacher who is passionate about inclusive education.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching pupils with SEND.
  • Have a strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive practice.
  • Be confident managing a range of additional needs within a classroom setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Be patient, resilient and nurturing in their approach.
  • Have experience working with EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
  • Be committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
