Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Alum Rock for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team to provide high-quality support, helping children develop their confidence, independence and key learning skills.

Within the EYFS setting, you will support children through play-based learning, classroom activities and targeted interventions. You will help create a safe, engaging and inclusive environment where children feel supported and encouraged to explore, learn and grow.

The school is looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and support their individual needs.

About the Role

  • September start
  • Based in Alum Rock
  • Support teaching and learning within an EYFS classroom
  • Assist with play-based activities and daily classroom routines
  • Provide support to individuals and small groups of children
  • Encourage children's social, emotional and educational development
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and EYFS team
  • Help maintain a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is desirable
  • A caring and nurturing approach to supporting young children
  • Good understanding of early childhood development
  • Experience supporting children through play-based learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
