Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Birmingham City Centre for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years education. The role will begin as a long-term booking, with the potential to offer day-to-day cover opportunities across our network of schools once the placement comes to an end.

Working within the EYFS setting, you will support the class teacher in creating a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment where children can develop through play, exploration and structured activities. You will work with individuals and small groups, helping children develop key social, emotional and educational skills while supporting their overall wellbeing.

The school is looking for someone who is caring, proactive and confident supporting young children, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A DfE-approved EYFS qualification is essential
  • Previous experience working within an EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
