Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and nurturing school in Newtown for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children's learning and development. Working within the Early Years setting, you will provide support to the class teacher and help create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
The successful candidate will support children through play-based learning, classroom activities and individual support, helping pupils develop their confidence, communication skills and independence. You will work closely with the EYFS team to ensure children receive the support they need during this important stage of their education.
About the Role

- Based in Newtown
- Support learning within an EYFS classroom
- Assist with daily classroom activities and play-based learning
- Support individual pupils and small groups
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Work alongside the class teacher and wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is desirable
- A caring, patient and nurturing approach
- Passionate about supporting children's early development
- Good understanding of child development and play-based learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to build positive relationships with children and staff
- Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
